The piano is said to have been invented in Italy in the year 1708 by Bartolomeo Christofori. Henri Fourneaux invented the player piano which plays all by itself in 1863.

The piano was invented in 1700 by Bartolomeo Cristopori. It was called the Harpsicord at that time. The last piano that Cristopori made can be seen in a museum in New York.
