As far as I know each digital camcorder is a bit different as far as taking video goes. As far as adding those photos to your computer the standard procedure is to hook the recorder to a USB or other port and it should prompt you to copy the videos onto your hard drive.

It is very easy to use a digital camcorder, and it does not require any special software or training. Make sure to turn the dial to camera, and then just "point and shoot."
