How to hook up 2 capacitors? |
Glad you asked...
Two capacitors can be connected either in series or in parallel. In series, total equivalent capacitance is reduced which is given by Ceq=(C1*C2)/(C1+C2). While in parallel, it simply gets added as Ceq=C1+C2.

Then again, this answer might help you...
You can hook up 2 capacitors in series or in parallel. It depends on what you need your capacitors to do. In parallel the storage of the capacitors will be added. While in series, the storage for the series will be lower than one capacitor.
