How does a pressure gauge work?

Pressure gauge contains certain material which changes its resistive or capacitive property when pressure is applied to it. This change is resistance or capacitance is proportional to the amount of pressure and is sensed by the circuit.

How does a pressure gauge work is by information being read from the valve stem opening by a computerized chip that will tell you the pounds per square inch. I enjoy working with pressure gauges.
