To make a DVD from a VCR tape, you first just be sure that your computer has a TV tuner installed on it. Next, you will connect the VCR to the computer using the standard audio/video cables that come with the VCR. Open the tuner software that should be on your computer and put your desired tape into the VCR. Start the record process on your tuner software and be sure to hit "play" on the VCR at the same time. Once the tape has ended, stop the recording session. Next, you will want to open up whichever DVD burning software you have installed and burn the new file onto the DVD.
